Joe Bauwens was born in Moline, Illinois. He attended college at UCLA where he earned a BA and MBA. Joe worked at several for profit and not for profit companies including the Rand Corporation. He was last employed as the CEO of pharmaceutical company, which he founded in Napa, California. He now resides in Ketchum, Idaho where he enjoys fishing, skiing, hiking, mountain biking and skate skiing. Joe also plays classical piano.
Marybeth Flower grew up in Arizona. She earned a BA and MSW from Arizona State University. She took up photography after a 22-year career in hospital management. Marybeth is co-founder of the Institute of Health and Healing, producer of 2 national teleconferences on health care issues moderated by Ted Koppel, and creator of an international medical teleconferencing network for physician continuing medical education. She has lectured extensively on health care marketing and leadership. Marybeth is a student of Italian and travels to Italy as frequently as possible. She currently lives in Ketchum, Idaho where she loves to alpine and Nordic ski, hike and bike.
Both Joe and Marybeth have taken numerous photographic courses through Santa Fe Workshops in New Mexico, Tuscany and San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. Their teachers include: Jay Maisel, Eddie Soloway, Arthur Meyerson, Jim Stanfield and Marcia Reifman.
